Lady A and Love & Theft put on an amazing show with Black Jacket Symphony. The cost of drinks, snacks was worse than a movie theater, the facilities were a problem. The accoustics made it difficult to hear the bands especially Lady A. As the fans in the grass area kept on yelling turn it up, we can't hear you.
The seats were pretty good except for the lady who had the seat in front of me that had this huge cowgirl hat on to go along with her big head and body. Had to look around her the whole show.

"KUDOS to the road crews who did an outstanding job changing out sets between performers...10-15 mins tops! For starters, this is hands-down the WORST venue I have ever been to! Good traffic control, water fountains, plentiful & clean restrooms. They also had coolers of ice water at Guest Services. They provided cups or you could refill your water bottle. Beautiful grounds, friendly & helpful staff, free parking. As for the show, my main draw was Darius Rucker singing Purple Rain and all 6 acts did a great job but, Josh Thompson was worth EVERY penny I paid and EVERY mile I travelled!!! Enough time to make a restroom/concession run!! DO NOT MISS A MINUTE OF THIS CONCERT!!!"
Great band, terrible acoustics
Susan Black Jacket Symphony and her hubby Derek Trucks are talented musicians with a great backup band. When I heard her beautiful performance at Mountain Winery a few years ago, it was wonderful. The volume at the Warfield was sooooooo loud and the acoustics so poor that it was impossible to make out instruments or the lyrics to most of the music. Even Susan's solos sounded crappy. WHY OH WHY do the sound engineers at these venues feel that the music has to be so loud??? Have they gone so deaf they cannot tell what is audible any more? There should be a legal limit on how many decibels can be used in these places. That was the last concert I will ever go to in an indoor venue. It is a waste of my money and an assault on my ears (which were ringing afterwards despite using earplugs for half the concert). I was really disappointed.
